Today, on Mother Earth’s day, April 22, we want to invite you to think for a minute about BEES, those tireless mini-creatures, which are essential for humans and if they disappear, we will all go with them

Bees, along with other insects such as butterflies and bumblebees, are responsible for the natural process of fertilization of the flowers of plants and trees, which bear fruit and seeds. 4,000 species of plants and trees will disappear, because bees, especially wild ones, are already disappearing. 90% of the wild plants and most of the fruit and vegetable production on planet Earth that we consume depends on pollination, and it will also disappear, along with humans, who will not have TO EAT.

Podemos hacer cosas para salvarnos! We can do things to save ourselves!

casita abejas

casita abejas

If we see bees in the cities, in the garden or balcony of our houses, lets not be afraid, but put a container with sugar water (in a house with entrances only for bees) to give them food and energy.

Do not use toxic products in our gardens and that the Governments shell prohibits their use in industrial production. The most toxic are the insecticides of neonicotin, clothianidin, imidacloprid, thiamethoxam, fipronil, chlorpyrifos, cypermethrin and deltamethrin.

Legislation and financial support needed from governments for a model of organic farming, farmers who change their cultivation practices, companies to develop organic products and techniques, and people demanding organic products. So, dear friends, demand and increase the consumption of products from the hive: honey, pollen, propolis, royal jelly and wax, because it is the healthiest thing that exists! With this we will support beekeepers and the salvation of bees. Beekeeping is the most sustainable human activity.

Madrid´s Prado Museum, Reina Sofia and Thyssen reopen on 6th of June

The first week of June is the Spanish tourism awakening with the opening of museums, cultural centers and gastronomy, the added value that each year attracts millions of travelers. The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao already receives the first visitors, and in Madrid they do so at the Lope de Vega House Museum, the Cervantes House (Alcala de Hennares), the Dos de Mayo Art Center, the Regional Archaeological Museum, the Picasso Museum-Eugenio Arias Collection, the New Interpretation Center Baztan.

The CaixaForum centers of the Community of Madrid also open on Monday, June 1 – The Children’s Day, with new security measures: very small capacity, fewer tickets per time slot and new circuits within the center that must be followed to avoid as much contact as possible between incoming and outgoing visitors. The partitions have been installed in the attention to the visitor´s desk.

The reopening of the art triangle of the capital: the Prado, Reina Sofía and Thyssen museums start next June 6, gradually. Access to the Museo de Reína Sofía will be free during the first weekend (June 6th and 7th), but with a third of its capacity. The Prado Museum has changed the air filter system, so that inside the center the air will have the same quality as in a hospital.

In the museums there will be no shortage of hydro-alcoholic gel or wipes at the entrance, mandatory face masks throughout the journey and, of course, respecting the two-meter distance between visitors and center staff. In addition, the maximum number of people on guided tours will be limited.

Tourists must use their own headphones for audio guides, the centers must supply disposable headphones to visitors. Trying to avoid the distribution of brochures, they will be provided individually. The use of the wardrobe will be limited, in which only backpacks or umbrellas may be left in bags.

Soon will open the Madrid´s History Museum and other municipal museums (June 9).

The big parks of Madrid such as Retiro and Casa Campo are open, bun NOT those of attractions, nor the Parque de Europa in Torrejón de Ardoz.

The coronavirus leaving an atypical summer with difficult vacations in full pandemic. Without being able to attend large sporting and cultural events, with restrictions on beaches and swimming pools, trips will be made under control and pending the evolution of the virus. We must have high self-discipline and help prevent the spread of the virus plague, even sitting on a terrace of the restaurant, park or camping.

Hope for normality

Unexpected by the majority of the world population, the coronavirus pandemic locked us up in our homes, smalls or medium-larges, took us away from family members with a huge fear of something, that could injure to death the most vulnerable loved ones in health and the olders. Difficult time with daily bombardment of news for waves of contagion, overflowing hospitals, brave doctors and health-workers, fighting for human lives with little protection and.. deaths, many deaths … A worldwide scourge with more than 4 million infected by the most malignant virus and countless lives shattered …

The Third War is brutal, the economy of small and medium businesses is already drowning and poverty is attacking us with its sharp teeth. Three months of hard home confinements with little chance of going out for a short walk just to buy food or medicine, and also a cold spring, laughing with a stormy wind at our particular efforts. How much struggle, God!

But in the middle of the most beautiful month, May, our Sun rises smiling to give warmth illuminating the hope of the billions of human beings throughout the world, who will return to normal!

This freedom to breathe oxygenated air (because, yes, the small break from the madness of the 21st century of innumerable planes, trucks, buses, cars and motorcycles, cleaned the air giving us a little respite to the planet we are drowning), from walk without explanations or schedules, simply to contemplate the green, the colouring of the bet of the sun or a beautiful architecture …

Because that Hope is the fundamental pillar that we need for our healthy, enjoyable, family life, hugs, the desire to share beers or a wine with many confidences between friends and loved ones, on the favorite terrace or on Sunday meals Mom, watch the soccer game and scream with emotions, enjoy a show or admire the paintings in the museum. And what about the walk through the historic center of Madrid, or anywhere on our precious planet Earth, climbing to the peak, admiring the blue sea, taking a quiz or listening to a story with the children….

Our human life, we all want it back, but the fight against the bug taught us that we have to deserve and care for it, that money is not the most precious thing in this (our) world, that instead of being so consumerist, You have to think about taking care of the treasure that is the planet, nature and leaving it clean for future generations. Prayers for powerful rulers would be to be more humble and kind. The true progress and wisdom is to preserve the world, humanity and not destroy it. The duty for everyone!
